Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations and Maintenance Team at the Leyland site as a General Operative Day Cleaner. Training will be provided if required, however applicants must be willing to complete the necessary training and be able to fulfil the duties of the role., The General Operative Day Cleaner will be responsible for activities associated with the waste facility processing operations, site wide cleaning and general site work related activities. Whilst training and development is provided and encouraged, please see below for the minimum requirements of the role

  • Competency in operating MEWP
  • FLT License
  • High pressure jet washing training.
  • Working at Height.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Good Self-organisational skills.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in:
  • 1. Manufacturing and processing related environments 2. Industrial Cleaning

    Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract. Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill., As our operations expand, we will be advertising numerous exciting opportunities to join our growing team over the next 12 months.
