Our work matters to millions. Itll matter to you too. Join our Living Places team as a General Operative - Winter Driver and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work. This role is being offered on a zero hours contract.

Role purpose: You'll be required to work within the revenue team on the Buckinghamshire contract completing winter maintenance operational activities; utilising knowledge and experience to ensure that all works are completed to the required Health, Safety and Quality standards. Further, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of Winter Maintenance.

Based on the Buckinghamshire contract covering one or more of the following locations:

Griffin Lane Depot, Aylesbury;

Handy Cross Depot, High Wycombe;

Amersham Depot;

Gawcott Depot.

What you'll be doing

Compliance

Working within a culture of Zero Harm embedding the 4 Golden Rules within all aspects of service delivery;

Report all observations Close Calls and Good Practices;

Compliance with all statutory and company procedures across all the functions, specifically H & S;

Develop and maintain good working relationships across all teams

Technical / Operations;

Ensure that Gritting Routes are completed within timescales;

The effective deployment and care of plant, equipment or machinery;

Carry out a broad range of Highway maintenance activities - safety, efficiently and to a high standard.

Category C (or C+E) licence;

Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC);

IT Literacy.

The following qualifications are desirable:

C&G Winter Maintenance (BB will arrange if required);

Telescopic Handler;

Digital Tacho card.
