Full Job Description

Two full time Portering position's have become available within the Facilities Department working for Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust The trust The roles undertake Portering duties to support services within DHCF Trust working predominantly between two key sites Kingsway Hospital and The Radbourne Unit, which is based within the Royal Derby Hospital grounds, working both internally and externally at both localities. The roles incorporate manual handling tasks and walking forms part of the daily duties, so a good level of fitness is required. Applicants must hold a driving license as driving duties form a key part of the daily role. The posts are being offered with a working pattern of 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri 8.30am-4.30pm.Weekends and bank holidays are covered on an as and when basis following a team rota., The role's include collection and delivery of linen, refuse, clinical waste transportation of mail, pharmacy, medical gases and equipment around the Trust premises.The successful candidates will follow a schedule of work in accordance with Trust and departmental operational procedures.

The post holders will provide a high-quality Portering Service as members of a small but dedicated team whilst being flexible to accommodate the changing requirements of the services we support.The successful post holders will require a degree of flexibility in order to assist covering weekends and bank holidays should the need arise.
