Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and innovative GP to join our Specialist Tier 3 Weight Management Team. The Specialist Weight Management Service provide evidence based, Individualised, high quality holistic treatment to patients within the communities it serves.
The role may suit a General Practitioner with a specialist interest in obesity and relevant experience providing treatment for patients living with obesity.
The successful applicant will have a comprehensive understanding of the complex needs of obese individuals, associated co-morbidity management and treatment options. The role involves being the clinical lead for the service and working as an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, alongside specialists in psychological wellbeing, dietetics, and physical activity.
The role includes assessment of patients' stage of obesity, associated causal factors, medical presentation/symptoms, co-morbidity management and recommendations for treatment.
You will be based in the vibrant, cultural city of Hull which is continuing to thrive and grow after being awarded City of Culture in 2017. The post will be based at Marfleet Health Centre in Hull however the successful applicant will also be expected to work from various other bases across the city.
