Full Job Description

Are you a dedicated GP seeking a flexible role within an Out of Hours (OOH) environment? London Central & West Unscheduled Care Collaborative (LCW UCC) is looking to expand its current pool of sessional GPs. The types of sessions include car shifts/home visits and shifts at base. Our Out of Hours service runs from 6pm to 8am Monday to Friday, and 24 hours over the weekend. This is a great opportunity for you to build on your high-quality clinical skills, as a member of a dedicated, energetic, and proactive multidisciplinary team., As a result of the national strategy NHS 111 First, we are now expanding our service in order to deliver the main features of this: booking patients into ED slots and Same Day Emergency Care [SDEC] services and in the near future, hot clinic referrals [e.g. lower GI and cardiology referrals]. These schemes need the GP skill set to provide remote assessment from base [with access to video technology and patients records] to ensure high quality, clinically effective referrals onto other services. We are looking for GPs to work across the breadth of our service portfolio including Urgent Care Centres, 111 and OOHs shifts (collectively referred to as Integrated Urgent Care services) including car shifts visiting patients homes (with a dedicated driver and PPE equipment in line with government guidelines). You will play a key role by: Managing a case load, dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs and undiagnosed problems.Providing care to patients via telephone consultation at base, home visits or face-to-face appointments.Working in collaboration with other clinicians within the CAS (Clinical Assessment Service) to enhance patient experience and reduce ED admissions
