Full Job Description

A Senior Physiotherapist (General Rotation) participates as a member of the physiotherapy team independently managing a clinical caseloadwith the support of senior post holder will complete a rotational programme through various clinical specialities, which is designed to consolidate their rotationalexperience and to further develop their independent clinical practice and supervisory skills.

The length of these rotations will be approximately 6 months; however this may be varied to meet the needs of the applicant or theservice.

The successful applicant will be actively involved in the education, supervision and mentoring of Band 5 Physiotherapists and physiotherapy undergraduate students.

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the respiratory on-call rota, as well as any weekend working and 7 day working practices as required.

We are looking for self-motivated, forward thinking clinicians who are strong team players with the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and excellent communication skills to join our General Band 6 Rotation.

You will need to have completed rotations in, or be able to demonstrate the equivalent experience and knowledgein musculoskeletal outpatients, trauma & orthopaedic inpatients, respiratory and neurology.

General Rotational Band 6 posts rotate through a range of specialties on a 6 monthly basis. Potential rotations include musculoskeletal outpatients, trauma & orthopaedics, respiratory, and neurology as well as wider rehabilitation and community specialties including paediatrics.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and / or English speakers are equally welcome to apply., Essential

  • Degree / diploma

  • HCPC Registered, Broad range of post graduate clinical experience to include MSK, T&O, Neuro & Resp

  • Able to demonstrate approp level of clinical reasoning & knowledge across a range of clinical specialities

  • Participating & delivering IST programme

  • Worked in UK as HCPC registered PT

  • Evidence of working unsupervised

  • Participated in on call & 7 day working

  • Previous band 6 position
