What You'll Do:

As the General Services Manager, you will be responsible for management of the general service provision to support the effective operation of the Hazelwood site. You will plan and deliver a range of Facilities Management soft services across the site through management of contracts and supervision of contractors to an agreed service level. You will be a member of the Hazelwood Leadership Team, accountable for ensuring the efficient delivery and maximum value of site services through our embedded (direct) and site service (indirect) contractors. You will provide technical knowhow and will be responsible for developing the team, improving standards and be custodian for the building stock and across the Hazelwood site. You will manage a team of General Assistants and Stores assistants who provide proactive and tactical response, essential to the smooth operation of the site. You will be accountable for the General Services financial budget and expenses, working with the Facilities Manager to
build justification for expenditure and investments. You will lead, manage and monitor the HSES systems and performance of direct contractors. Ensure indirect contractors conform to Lubrizol HSES policies and standards through supervision and management of safe systems of work.

What We're Looking For:

-Ensure the safe and reliable delivery of soft services (cleaning, catering, grounds etc.) through embedded contractors and other service providers; meeting agreed service levels.
-Ensure the site remains in a 'serviceable' condition; linking with the Engineering & Maintenance Team to support a plan and schedule of maintenance and refurbishment of site infrastructure and buildings.
-Safety is the no1 priority, you will uphold compliance with local regulations, safety codes, and industry standards, and have the abliity to adapt strategies to accommodate the unique challenges presented by buildings of different ages and purposes.
-Support to the Engineering team in the management of projects and liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of change activity.
-Support the customer and visitor experience by enabling internal partners and stakeholders to meet their objectives through provision of best practice services. You will be responsible for continuous improvement, to enhance our customers experience at optimal cost.
-Reduce the operational costs of the site through the adoption of innovative, sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies.
-Build employee engagement, fostering an inclusive workplace, empowering the team to take ownership through direction, coaching and mentoring as required.
-Meet financial budget and expense targets, working with the Facilities Manager to build justification for expenditure and investments.
-Worki with the Engineering and Maintenance team, you will identify capital expenditure requirements to sustain / improve site infrastructure and building stock.
-Compile appropriate measures and targets and make recommendations, based on data, to drive performance.
-Build effective working relationships with suppliers and solution providers.
-Able to manage and prioritize own tasks and teams duties, delegating as appropriate.

-A higher (HND/Degree) qualification in a relevant discipline such as Building Services, Site Management, or equivalent Management role.
-Understanding and management of Health, Safety, Environment and Security within an operational environment.
-Numeracy and financial understanding to include budgeting, costing and tenders, cost management and reporting on projects.
-Experience of project management, procurement and tendering contracts.
-Communication and teaming working across all levels of the organization and with external providers.
-Working knowledge of building maintenance contracts and relevant health and safety legislation and safe systems of work for the management of contractors
-Track record of managing performance and driving continuous improvement using metrics and targets
-Knowledge and e
xperience building services, regulations and construction design management are preferential.
