Full Job Description
You'll bring your expertise to the team, supporting us with the maintenance of our historic tenanted buildings on the Kingston Lacy Estate, Dorset. Working hours are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday, no bank holidays or weekend working. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Let Estate Building Supervisor, you'll be working with our small but friendly Buildings Team at our well-equipped workshop on the Kingston Lacy Estate, Dorset. The Estate contains over 100 properties ranging from thatch cob to brick and slate, providing opportunities to use all of your skills. What you'll be doing Working as part of a team you'll carry out high quality repairs, maintenance and refurbishments to our properties across the estate, for example decoration, tiling, minor plumbing works, plastering, joinery and stone masonry you'll know what methods and materials are appropriate for our historic properties and have a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace. working in collaboration with colleagues and liaise with tenants so that expectations are managed and regular updates are communicated.
Your experience and skills:
- Practical experience in one or more general trades Ability to accurately assess required repairs A good understanding of how health & safety applies to your work Good at building relationships and communicating clearly Ability to work collaboratively with team members and contractors A full driving licence is required for the role
