Full Job Description

The post will be flexible to move across sites according to service needs and therefore the ability to travel will be essential.
As a Technical Instructor working within our service you will:
+ Provide highly skilled support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, aiding the rehabilitation of patients in the Neurological Outpatient Service.
+ Provide initial assessment for designated patient groups, as agreed with the MDT.
+ Work single handed and unsupervised when appropriate either in the outpatient setting, or occasionally in the patients home without direct supervision or presence of a qualified therapist
+ To plan and provide ongoing treatment, education and instruction to their caseload of patients seen in both individual and group settings. This will include some evaluation and progression of treatment programmes.
+ To provide administration support, providing telephone cover and undertaking clerical duties as needed.

Derbyshire Community Health Services has a great opportunity for a Technical Instructor to join our Amber Valley and Erewash Neurological Outpatient team. This role is based at Ripley Hospital where we provide assessment and rehabilitation to outpatients with a large variety of neurological conditions.
This role is advertised as full time but part time hours may be considered, please contact us to discuss.
