Full Job Description

Technical Instructors work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and the wider multi-disciplinary team, and are an essential part of the team in ensuring delivery of high standards of therapeutic interventions and building effective relationships with patients., To support Therapy staff in the assessment and treatment of inpatients referred into Mid Yorkshire Therapy Services and complete delegated tasks as required.

To undertake specific skilled support work to aid the patients therapy assessment as delegated by the Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist. This would be including, but not limited to, mobility practice, washing and dressing reviews, supporting on visits and daily admin to support patient discharge.

Work is not always directly supervised but is evaluated and monitored daily. Access to qualified staff is always available if required. Patients progress to be reported back on a timely basis.

To assist in the administration and clerical duties of the team.

To develop and maintain competencies through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

We currently have 1 x full time permanent position in the Respiratory Team, 1 x full time permanent position in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Team and 1 x full time 9 month fixed term position in the Stroke and Neurology Team.
