Geo-environmental Consultant

The Environmental Officer will report to the Environmental Management and Monitoring Lead You'll be:

• Site environmental management and compliance
• Site audits and audit reporting
• Management plans (develop / review), e.g. develops or provides inputs to the development of the construction environmental management plans as required
• Toolbox talks prep and present
• Incident management
• Document control
• Impacts and aspects register updates
• Identification of permitting requirements through focal point roles
• Liaises daily with the Contractor's site personnel. Effectively provides guidance, as required, regarding compliance requirements and corrective actions.
• Ensures all required samplings/testing are done as required
• Assists in the review and close out of rectifications arising from daily inspections, audits, or compliance review process.
• Liaises with immediate supervisor, highlighting areas of concern..
  
  Degree in environmental sciences
• Environmental experience in the mining and / or construction industry
• Experience in environmental management
• Ability to understand and explain all project environmental requirements
• Physical ability and enthusiasm to work on site and conduct inspection
• Effective communication and interaction with construction crews in the field and management teams.
• Concise report writing on a daily basis.
