Full Job Description

We seek to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Geography teacher for a unique opportunity to work in a hospital-based independent day school for 38 young people aged 8-18 with eating disorders. The ability to teach Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4 is essential. This is a part-time post, working three days a week. This post has been made due to a promotion within the school. We seek someone available from November or sooner. If you are looking for a new challenge and are committed to making a difference for young people, this opportunity could be for you. You must be flexible, kind, compassionate, patient and enjoy working with a small team. We would like to hear if you can make a difference in a unique, creative, and exciting small school setting with a 'family feel' like ours. We can offer the following:

  • Students who enjoy learning and want to come to school to keep on track with their peers
  • A dedicated, enthusiastic staff team that wants the best for the students.
  • A supportive Governing Body
  • A well-resourced school
  • A salary package commensurate with the size of the school
  • Free lunchtime meal
  • Private Pension
  • We encourage you to visit the school. Alternatively, you can contact us at or email stuffnell@elysiumeducation.co.uk, Sharon Tuffnell, School Administrator. The closing date is Monday 7th October 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Interviews will take place that week.
