Full Job Description
Candidates must hold full GMC registration with a license to practice and have successfully completed the final FRCR examination (FRCR 2B). Candidates who are not from majority English speaking countries as defined by the UK Border Agency must provide proof of competency in English. The GI fellow would be exposed to all aspects of gastrointestinal imaging including MR and CT small bowel imaging, MR proctography, CT colonography, hepatic and pancreatic imaging, contrast and endo-anal ultrasound, fluoroscopy and PET CT as well as exposure to endoscopic imaging interpretation. The department performs interventional oncology treatments. The successful candidate would be exposed to all aspects of abdominal/perineal imaging including MR, CT, US and fluoroscopy imaging. There is no on call requirement for either position. Appointed Fellows will be expected to participate in the daily departmental management and acute cover, as well as support and lead quality improvement projects and data collection for KPI/National audit/review. Research and educational delivery at a regional and national level would be greatly encouraged., The GI fellow would be exposed to all aspects of gastrointestinal imaging including MR and CT small bowel imaging, MR proctography, CT colonography, hepatic and pancreatic imaging, contrast and endo-anal ultrasound, PET CT, as well as exposure to endoscopic imaging interpretation. - The department performs interventional oncology treatments (ablation and TACE in particular) with associated diagnostic work-up and follow-up imaging. There are specialist regional MDTs for upper and lower gastrointestinal tract malignancy, benign and malignant pancreas MDT, inflammatory bowel disease MDT, liver MDT, and neuro-endocrine MDT. No on-call requirement for this position This GI post has a strong focus on education, high end GI radiology experience and research. Protected time will be provided for research., The GI fellow would be exposed to all aspects of gastrointestinal imaging including MR and CT small bowel imaging, MR proctography, CT colonography, hepatic and pancreatic imaging, contrast and endo-anal ultrasound, PET CT, as well as exposure to endoscopic imaging interpretation. - The department performs interventional oncology treatments (ablation and TACE in particular) with associated diagnostic work-up and follow-up imaging., Upon appointment an individual job plan will be created in conjunction with the Clinical Director and GI imaging leads.
These posts offer a strong focus on education, tertiary level GI radiology experience, and research. Protected time will be provided for research. Candidates must hold full GMC registration with a license to practice. Candidates who are not from majority English speaking countries as defined by the UK Border Agency must provide proof of competency in English. LSTM's current minimum requirements are: TOEFL 88 iBT (With a minimum scores of 21 for Listening and Writing, 22 for Reading and 23 for Speaking); or IELTS with an overall band score of 6.5 (And a minimum of 5.5 in all learning components).,

- 5 years satisfactory completion of radiology training with FRCR or equivalent
- CCT (or eligible within 6 months), Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication with patients and colleagues- demonstrated by one of the following: 1. undertaken undergraduate medical training in English or
- Have achieved score of 7 in speaking and overall and score of 6 in listening, reading and writing in the IELTS test., At least 1 years' experience in interventional radiology
- Experience of multidisciplinary working.
