The Global BDM & Solutions Manager systematically develops, supports, and implements business development initiatives and solutions strategies to achieve or exceed bookings targets for Corrosion and Erosion globally. Demonstrating a positive approach by strong engagement with the WA sales organization, country sales, MSS Lifecycle Services and our customers

Supporting the achievement of Global bookings goals by creating client vision, providing technical expertise, developing implementation strategies, and coordinating technical resources!

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop the Industry growth plan for the specific area to achieve budgets and goals. Ensure the plan and activities are coordinated with local sales organization and sales initiatives in the region;

  • Assist in the analysis of business trends, such as bookings, market participation, run rates, quote conversion rates, etc., and propose corrective strategies where applicable;

  • Understand customer and market dynamics and requirements: analyze oil & gas industry needs and trends, identify application opportunities and relevant solutions;

  • Observe competitive activities; feedback competitor information to management to supply to competitive profiles and strategic planning;

  • Provide input to Marketing, Engineering and Sales regarding customer needs for New Product Development, Service or Training offerings;

  • Improve sales effectiveness in the industry through sharing of knowledge & success stories, developing effective sales tools, and enhancing communications across project / account teams;

  • Develop proficiencies in system design and act as Global Subject Matter Expert in this area;

  • Maintain overviews of industry target clusters and mine these data to define growth opportunities;


  • Field sales support activities and project pursuits
  • Participate actively in project pursuits from pre-conceptual through bidding and execution phase;

  • Prepares & delivers system functional design specifications to customers and engineering contractors;

  • Present the customer benefits and differentiation message of the products and solutions to customers at all levels in assigned industry;

  • Support account leaders to grow the corrosion business including developing end-user preferences and technology acceptance and collaborating with worldwide internal teams, end user customer teams, engineering contractors and third-party technology providers for identified applications;


  • Specialist support and consultative selling
  • Provide industry and application expertise to the sales channel and customers;

  • Deliver product and application training to customers (internal and external) as required;

  • Assessing customer requirements and problems and suggesting appropriate solutions;

  • Works with the Project Management Office to ensure consistent project execution.

  • Technical bachelor's degree Required and at least 7 years work experience in either Sales, Service or Marketing from chemical, renewable, or oil & gas industries;

  • Understanding of Digital Transformation strategies and work practices including underlying technology enablers like Wireless, Cybersecurity, Industrial Integration and protocols and historians;

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization with strong Influencing skills;

  • Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal;

  • Proficient English language skills; verbal, reading, and writing;

  • Extensive experience in project pursuit processes from a sales and technical perspective;


  • Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
