Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Business Manager to guide the Operations function and team through an exciting period of change as we transfer Arup's existing Oasys LS-DYNA software business into a new corporate structure. This is a fixed-term position for 13 months, starting from 01 February 2025 to 28 February 2026. The Business Manager will play a integral role in driving the operational engine of our software business. Reporting to the commercial manager, this fixed-term position will have three areas of focus:
- Advising on operational systems and processes required for the new company structure
- Guiding the Operations Team and function through the transition whilst continuing to deliver exceptional customer service via our day-to-day operations
- Develop operational processes and interfaces to drive efficiency, increase customer satisfaction, and improve how we work with our distribution network. You will interface with the Sales, Technical Support, Training, Marketing and Product Development functions as well as with Regional Leaders in the UK, China, India and USA. The role will see you:
- · Reviewing and advising on appropriate operational systems and processes to ensure an efficient and professional operations function
- · Steering global operations functions with oversight of regional activity
- · Delivering an exceptional customer service by the Operations Team
- · Leading operational interface with internal functions and external partners / distributors / collaborators
- · Managing development of staff to provide satisfying career paths for Operations team members
Has proven experience as a Business Manager or similar role. - Has Strong understanding of business functions such as finance, marketing, and operations
- Possesses excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Has an analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and an ability to multi-task and work efficiently to manage deadlines and priorities without compromising on quality
