Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Internal and Transformation Communications Manager for its Grid Automation Business Unit. If you are passionate about storytelling, employee engagement, change management and content creation, we want to hear from you! You will be responsible for creating and managing a key part of the Grid Automation communications program to support business communications, partnering with executives, businesses, and functions. You will develop the plan, execute across all internal channels and measure what you do.
The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative and transparent individual working internally across the team and corporate partners. An innovative approach to pro-actively develop opportunities for building internal communications, driving content, and the ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment will be keys to success. At the core is driving activities to support employee engagement.
Main responsibilities:
Create and execute strategic internal communications plans for Grid Automation teams.
Manage communications around strategic transformation initiatives. Drive communications around change management initiatives for the business as well as oversee rollout and localization of global communications initiatives and change management plans.
Be the communications advocate for employees-what do they need to know/feel/do to be successful in their roles.
Create engaging written and visual messaging on behalf of executives to motivate and inspire employees, including videos, town halls, and announcements.
Write news articles, posts, blogs, and announcements for various internal and external channels, including LinkedIn.
Provide onsite communication support for executives at corporate and employee events, as needed.
Manage communications projects with high detail and accuracy from start to finish.
Specific tasks:
Editorial services, including the writing and editing of announcements and releases, both general and technical ones, speeches, presentations, fact sheets.
Develop detailed communications plans for complex change topics and initiatives
Consult and coach various teams on best practices of writing and storytelling
Provide trusted counsel to key executives
Interdependencies:
Executive interaction with a consultative mindset
Define processes/planning/external monitor activities to reflect business priorities and long-term positioning, in line with the global strategy
Work in close collaboration with the global internal communications community
Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality

Minimum of 10 years professional experience with 3 years relevant experience in internal and/or organizational communications, ideally with an interest in energy and technology
Experience with cross-function communications and a focus on internal editorial content (blogs, branding, web, social, etc.)
Experience working in a global, highly- matrixed organization
Solid understanding of digital communications channels and tools
Proven exceptional writing/editing and oral communication skills (writing samples will be requested)
Proven track record in building effective internal communications programs
Ability to define and analyze relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders
Excellent written and oral English language skills are required - other languages are a plus
