Full Job Description

The Global Resilience Manager, Global Resilience, enables comprehensive security risk preparedness and response process's, building resiliency capabilities for the organization to cope with various levels of threats, incidents and crisis situations that jeopardize Amazon's personnel, assets, operations and interests, 1. Create detailed resilience frameworks, standards and programs to enable risk change identification, assessment and management. Creating mechanisms, standards and processes by translating Amazon Security Policies into real world applications to adapt to and or Absorb impacts of negative risk.
2. Support the business with analytical deep dives to identify root causes of Loss, Risks, Security Breaches and Major Incidents, determining additional mitigations and or corrective actions
3. Train, advise, and partner with other functions in identifying, managing and mitigating risks through robust standards and processes
4. Work with stakeholders and internal customers to establish, provide, and agree on clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes as well as timelines
5. Support planning and response with internal teams and manage relationships with business units and functions
6. Build a resilient organization and prepare the business to be able to respond to a range of events that may pose risk to associates, operations, assets and brand

A day in the life
The Global Resilience Manager works closely and on daily basis with Global Security Operations (GSO), Regional Security & Loss Prevention (S&LP) and operations leaders to determine organizational challenges and needs, translating them into proportionate and effective standards and programs.

The Global Resilience Manager works to support and sustain long term programs and initiatives and can be called upon to support dynamic risk preparedness and response during changing operating risk environments. Enabling action through regional teams and partners, influencing adoption and continuous improvement with regional flexibility and scale

About the team
The Security and Loss Prevention team secures Amazon's supply chain by preventing risks, intervening in incidents, and investigating root causes. The Resilience team maintains a framework providing risk oversight, preparedness, contingency planning, and incident response in partnership with leaders. The team leverages global and regional Risk & Resilience teams to monitor threats, assess risk changes, drive preparedness, and enable business adaptation and recovery from incidents.

Experience within Security Risk Management
- Recognized industry Certification in a Security Risk management field (Ex ASIS CPP)
- Knowledge and qualification in industry risk assessment and business resilience processes
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple, competing deadlines, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with all levels of business leadership and staff, Degree in related field (International Relations, Criminal Justice, Risk management, Political Science, Business Intelligence, Business Continuity or Resilience etc.)
- Security Risk Management experience within transport logistics, supply chain, warehousing or manufacturing organizations.
- Project management certification and experience (ex PMP)
- Experience with continuous improvement cycles and analytical methodology
- Familiarity with risk, business continuity and data management platforms (BSI, Audit board etc)
- Second Language is a plus
