The role holder will work closely with members of the teamassisting in diary management, email management and governance functions.We are looking for a dynamic and keen Governance Administrator to join our smallfriendly and busy team. This is a varied role that is part of a team that works closelywith Council members and the Senior Management Team to ensure that our mostsenior decision-making meetings operate to a high-standard, fulfil their statutory andregulatory duties and deliver on Council's ambitions for improved and streamlinedprocesses. This role will also provide some administrative support to the legal team., We are looking for a dynamic and keen Governance Assistant to join our small friendlyand busy team. This is a varied role that is part of a team that works closely withCouncil members and the Senior Management Team to ensure that our most seniordecision-making meetings operate to a high-standard, fulfil their statutory andregulatory duties and deliver on Council's ambitions for improved and streamlinedprocesses. This role will also provide some administrative support to the legal team.Main duties:

  • To support the Chair of Council and the University Secretary with administrative
  • duties, including planning and diary management, as well as monitoring schedule of meetings and sub-committees as necessary.To provide administrative support to the directorate including: - Assisting with organising and management of Council and committee meetings, seminars and other adhoc meetings as directed. - To proactively manage files, diaries and in-boxes, and processes relevant to website and intranet pages, corporate registers, and distribution lists.
  • To support Council and committee recruitment processes, by arranging,
  • developing, and maintaining programmes for induction, recruitment, and training.
  • Management of relevant financial procedures including, purchase orders, expense
  • claims and their associated processes. This includes budget oversight.
  • To collaborate with colleagues across the College to ensure the smooth running of
  • meetings and other sessions.
  • To assist in the continuous improvement of the governance processes.
  • To proactively ensure that documents and folders are well-maintained and filed
  • efficiently.
  • You will be required to undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required

    Degree or (or equivalent experience) A, I Essential Criteria 2 - Experience Experience of meeting stakeholders' needs and expectations A, I Experience of resolving queries efficiently, escalating where appropriate A, I Demonstrable experience of provision of administration support and / or A, I diary management. Desirable Criteria 2 - Experience Experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders by telephone, A, I email and face-to-face. Essential Criteria 3 - Knowledge Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to manage a A, I number of competing priorities.
