Governance / Committee Officer

We are now looking to recruit a Governance/Committee Officer on a 2 year fixed term basis, who will provide a high quality service supporting meetings of Council, including the newly established Area Committees, other committees and key partnerships, some of which take place in the evening. The successful applicant will also support the wider decision making and democratic processes within the Council, working in accordance with legislation and the Council's Constitution. You will liaise regularly with the Council's Corporate Leadership Team and Councillors to support collaborative working arrangements.

Working within a small team of colleagues with a high degree of autonomy, this position represents exciting career development opportunities in a professional and flexible environment. Previous experience of Committee management, ideally within a Local Authority or other public sector setting, is preferable.
