Full Job Description

  • The Governance & Risk Manager will be the custodian and champion across Vodafone UK, responsible for the successful operation of the VUK Secure Operating Model [SOM] Governance structure. This will entail ensuring the adherence to and maintenance of all governance procedures and processes for SOM such that VUK has a demonstrable capability for Secure Operating which can be evidenced to those who may ask to see it [e.g. HMG auditors; Customers].
  • The Governance Manager will be responsible for the creation and management of secure operating procedures. The governance processes established will require the Governance manager to interface with GMT on a regular basis to keep them appraised about informed decisions that have taken place at the various SOM forums. The role will also require the Governance Manager to assess and then present to GMT/board level to seek approval/guidance on business situations which can have a high level of risk associated with our business thus impacting our customers. Also working with programmes and projects (IT, Networks, Transformational, Operations) ensuring that the programmes are delivering to the requested SOM Mandate.
  • The Governance Manager will also support the development of secure operating strategy for VUK in line with organisational goals through continuous improvement. Regularly reviewing current practice and transforming to ensure the right operating model is in place to support Vodafone customer's and stakeholder's changing needs as efficiently and as effective as possible thus having a positive impact on customer Net Promoter scores.

    Experience with working in a secure operating environment
  • Extensive experience of governance through direct programme/project delivery experience and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels demonstrated by the ability to build excellent working relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience and excellent track record for managing change and driving delivery of improvement initiatives.
