Join our Team, working hard to ensure that 'Every child in every school will confidently grasp the challenges of tomorrow'
The Golden Thread Alliance is a multi-academy Trust comprising nine fantastic schools in the Dartford and Gravesham areas and we are currently recruiting for Governors at some of our schools:
Each of our schools is has its own unique character but all subscribe to the Trust's values of Respect, Equality, Courage, Integrity, Ambition, Kindness and Responsibility
"Governance has never been more critical to the education of our nation's young people."
Baroness Elizabeth Berridge, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Schools, October 2020
We are looking to appoint Governors to work collaboratively with our Senior Leaders to be the champions of their school and community; to offer support and ask appropriately challenging questions. In essence to be the advocates for the life chances of children within their school.
You do not need any special qualifications, we just want you to bring a real passion for supporting every child to achieve and succeed.
We encourage applications from all members of society, regardless of background, culture, gender, ethnicity, disability, or age (as long as you are over 18) and we really do look forward to hearing from you.
Governors have four meetings per year, some of which will be during the school day to carry out supported monitoring visits
Please do allow additional time for reading the agenda and reports prior to each meeting.
Our Trust is unique in the support it offers governors, through information and training and through access to qualified and highly skilled expert staff, who offer guidance, advice and support.
Our governors are important members of our team, so if you are interested in joining us or would like to find out more then, please do contact Nicole Caulfield (DCEO Governance & Community) or Sarah Steven (Governance Professional) to discuss this amazing opportunity., The Golden Thread Alliance is a Multi Academy Trust of nine primary schools in North West Kent, each with its own unique character, history and demographics, but unified in the belief that we are all as united as we are different.
Following the 2023 merger of Galaxy Trust in Dartford and Pathway Trust in Gravesham, The Golden Thread Alliance now comprises Culverstone Green Primary School, Fleetdown Primary Academy, Meopham Community Academy, Oakfield Primary Academy, Riverview Infants, Riverview Juniors, Temple Hill Primary Academy, West Hill Primary Academy, and Wrotham Road Primary School.
All subscribe to the values of Respect, Equality, Courage, Integrity, Ambition, Kindness, and Responsibility, and we embody them through Trust policies and daily practice.
Our pledges to five protected groups in our schools ensure that nobody is left behind, in the pursuit of a level playing field for all children and their families: https://golden-thread.org/about-us/our-pledges/
We want all students, regardless of background and need, to achieve highly and have high levels of wellbeing. We recognise and celebrate our differences together, so we can provide personalised support when needed, making sure every single one of our children can fulfil their potential for greatness.
The Golden Thread Alliance offers the same unwavering support to all members of staff, providing ample opportunities for CPD, training at all levels, family days, and mental health & wellbeing support.
