Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Governance team who are a highly motivated and enthusiastic team as the Governor and Membership Engagement Officer.
To work with the Trust Secretary and Deputy Trust Secretary to support the Trusts Governors and Members to fulfil their general duties.
The successful candidate will have a knowledge of, and experience in, organising public/patient/stakeholder engagement, events management, meetings, communications and public relations techniques, approaches and procedures.

Please expand the job details section and read all of the information before applying for the vacancy., + To support the Trust Secretary and Deputy Trust Secretary to ensure that the Council of Governors and their associated Working Groups are properly constituted, operated and supported.
+ To support the Trust Secretary with the development and delivery of a Governor and Member Engagement Strategy, and to support the Trusts Governors and Members to fulfil their general duties as defined in the Trusts Constitution.
+ To provide a high quality, effective and efficient administrative service to the Trusts Governors, Members and potential Members
+ To work with the Trust Secretary and the Deputy Trust Secretary to ensure that effective relationships between the Board of Directors, Council of Governors and Trusts membership are maintained.
+ To support the Trust Secretary with delivery of the overarching corporate governance service provision for Governors and Members to ensure compliance with the Trusts regulatory framework.
+ To provide training and education on the role of Trust Governors and Members where required.
+ To prepare reports for Council of Governors meetings and Governor Working Groups.

+ The ability and confidence to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders to build effective relationships both within and outside of the organisation.
+ Degree level of equivalent relevant work experience/qualifications and an understanding of corporate governance.
+ Knowledge of, and experience in, organising public/patient/stakeholder engagement, events management, meetings, communications and public relations techniques, approaches and procedures.
+ Experience in the provision of high-quality Board level administrative support, including high quality minute-taking at corporate meetings.
