GP Assistant (GPA)

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive and proactive individual to join our team as a GP Assistant.

This is a relatively new role, and the main aim is to support all clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of clinics by undertaking routine administration and clinical tasks, resulting in clinicians being able to focus their time on patient care.

We are seeking a committed and hardworking individual, who has a genuine interest in working with patients and who enjoys contributing to the delivery of high quality health care

The Practice will support continuing education and professional development in the form of study days, the GPA course and in-house training.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise their own workload to enable to meet deadlines effectively.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential and a willingness to build sound professional working relationships with all members of the Practice Team a must.

Norwood Surgery is a high performing and successful GP Practice with a welcoming and supportive approach to both staff and patients alike.

The practice currently consists of 5 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 2 nurses, a phlebotomist and an admin/reception team caring for a list size of 10,000 patients. We take great pride in serving the diverse needs of the community.
