Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Assessment, Screening, and Treatment: Conduct assessments, screenings, and treatment services, providing patients with health education and advice tailored to their needs. Chronic Disease Management Immunisations Infection Control Health and Lifestyle Counseling Cervical Screening: General Nursing Duties Sexual Health and Contraception: Provide advice and services related to contraception and sexual health, adhering to current clinical guidelines. Clinical Administration: Health Screenings Patient Advice: Offer guidance on general health care and minor ailments, escalating to general practitioners when necessary. Equipment and Supplies Management: Oversee the maintenance and availability of supplies and equipment in the treatment room and other clinical areas, in coordination with the Practice Manager. Pathological Specimens: Collect, store, and dispatch pathological specimens, including intravenous blood samples, swabs, and smears, following appropriate training.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of associated equipment. Professional and Administrative Duties: Clinical Documentation: Accurately record all consultations, treatments, and patient interactions in the clinical computer system, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date patient records. Documentation and Reporting: Complete all necessary documentation related to patient care and practice registration. Collect and maintain statistical data required for regular and ad hoc reporting. Practice Meetings: Actively participate in practice meetings and contribute to discussions on practice philosophy, strategy, and policy. Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols. Audits: Conduct monthly audits related to the role to ensure compliance with practice standards and identify areas for improvement. Liaison and Professional Development: Inter-Agency Coordination: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare agencies, practice staff, and external
disciplines, while upholding patient confidentiality. Continued Education: Engage in ongoing professional development by attending relevant courses and study days to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
