Full Job Description
Join our friendly and supportive GP Surgery team as a Receptionist! You'll be the first point of contact for patients, delivering excellent customer service while managing key administrative tasks to support our clinicians and staff., 1. Patient Interaction + Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival. + Handle telephone and in-person inquiries professionally and efficiently. + Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using the practice's system. + Provide information about the practice's services and procedures. 2. Administrative Duties + Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality. + Process patient registrations, including verifying personal details. + Manage correspondence such as emails, letters, and referrals. + Handle repeat prescription requests in line with practice policies. + File and retrieve patient records and documents as needed. 3. Operational Support + Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and appointment scheduling. + Assist with preparing rooms and equipment for clinics when necessary. + Record and manage patient arrivals and waiting lists. + Address patient complaints or direct them to appropriate staff for resolution. 4. Compliance and Confidentiality + Adhere to all practice policies, including confidentiality and GDPR regulations. + Ensure infection control measures are followed in the reception area.
- Previous experience in a GP practice is essential.
