Sagentia Innovation is seeking a graduate biophysicist to join our Applied Science team, to create, analyse and develop new technologies. We solve complex problems using world-class scientific skills on a wide range of projects which involve a combination of:

  • Creative problem solving and concept generation.
  • Feasibility assessment informed by theoretical assessment, mathematical modelling and laboratory experimentation.
  • Proof-of principle demonstration in which our ideas are rapidly brought to life.
  • Technology scouting.

This role is based at our Harston (Cambridge) site., Candidates must have a degree in Biophysics, Biomedical engineering or a degree with a strong Physics content in a medical or biotech related field (2.1 or above, PhD preferred) and:
  • Expertise in areas such as medical physiology, bio- and medical sensor, biomechanics, medical imaging, bioreactors, etc…
  • Proven scientific analytical skills such as mathematical modelling applied in biological, tissue and physiological contexts.
  • Proven ability to develop novel systems in the laboratory.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proven track record of planning and undertaking laboratory work safely.
