Ready to kickstart your career? Gain hands on experience on the Wates Building Services Management Trainee Programme. Join our sought-after Building Services Management Trainee programme, where you'll be given the unique opportunity to learn about the design, installation and maintenance of the essential services and equipment that make a great building. With a focus on the technical and commercial aspects of projects, you will develop your experience across a project's entire life cycle, to understand how everything fits together. Using the knowledge and skills you've learnt on the programme, you'll:

  • Learn how mechanical and electrical services are designed, installed and maintained.
  • Research current and emerging technology, understanding how it can be used to produce safe, sustainable, innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor essential progress and information to support team meetings.
  • Support with managing the quality of our sub-contractors MEP installations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Commercial and Planning, to observe and learn about their processes for controlling and delivering a project.

  • To join our Trainee Programme via the Graduate route, you will have a motivation to learn and develop within the industry and you'll have obtained or be working towards a 2:2 degree in any subject area.
  • For this position, you will be based from a specific office location but our projects are geographically widespread, so you will regularly be required to travel between multiple project locations nationally, which may involve periods of staying away from home. You'll also need a full UK driving license. The company will fully fund expenses, but it's important for you to be flexible and committed to travelling.
