Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and talented Graduate Cloud Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for software and web development. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, contribute to the development of innovative solutions, and grow your skills in a supportive and collaborative team-based environment. What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and test cloud-based services and web applications in support of our particle characterisation instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with other software developers as part of an Agile SCRUM team using Microsoft Teams and Azure DevOps.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure robust and reliable operation.
  • Document software designs, data flows, and test procedures.
  • Evaluate new technologies and develop PoC (proof of concept) apps and demonstrators.


  • Graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in the C# programming language with experience in HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, .NET and Azure.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Basic understanding Blazor or ASP.NET.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio IDE or Visual Code IDE.
  • Exposure to browser-based debugging and logging tools.
  • Experience of front-end (user interface) design and implementation.
  • Basic understanding of continual integration and continual delivery pipelines (CI/CD)
