Full Job Description

We identify and research industry challenges that we package and sell to large scale corporate companies in the form of live and digital events.

Working closely with our customers, your main responsibilities are to determine key pain points for our customers and create bespoke event packages that enable them to solve their problems.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director & Head of Production in a rapidly growing start-up, you will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams growing a portfolio of events spanning across multiple sectors. You will be exposed to virtually every aspect of the conference's development, from inception, through marketing to eventual delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Conference development:

  • Conduct in-depth desk, telephone and face to face research with senior industry professionals to identify current pain points and cutting-edge conference topics

  • Articulate research findings to create compelling, commercial conference programmes that capture the event's value proposition

  • Identify, select and recruit key facilitators, presenters and panellists to share key knowledge with our audience

  • Analyse multiple industry sectors, clearly define complex buyer-seller customer targets and identify influential trade association, publications and partners

  • Oversee the design of the conference brochure ensuring key selling points are emphasised

  • Manage the onsite co-ordination of each event to ensure onsite delivery excellence


  • Project Management:
  • Create detailed documentation that clearly defines industry macro issues

  • Sell the commercial viability of the event across internal Management, Sales and Marketing teams to secure buy-in

  • Present, coach and monitor all sales teams to ensure interest in the event converted into revenue

  • Conduct detailed post-campaign analysis to gain valuable client and delegate feedback to identify growth strategies

  • Collaborate with Marketing & Content teams to create cutting edge content such as surveys, infographics, interviews, reports, podcasts and eBooks


  • Financial Management:
  • Collaborate with internal project teams across Sponsorship, Delegate Sales, Marketing and Operations to maximise revenue

  • Track personal portfolio budgets to ensure all KPI's are achieved and targets are met on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Take overall responsibility and manage the P&L of individual events

    GCSEs in Maths and English: Grade A-C

  • A graduate with a 2:1 or a 1st degree

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Inquisitive nature, entrepreneurial attitude and a genuine interest in market research

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables

  • Resilient, committed, motivated and determined to succeed

  • The ability to uncover pain points and offer solutions across multiple sectors

  • KPI, target, deadline and target driven

  • Diplomacy, tact and a sense of humour

  • Ambitious and desire to build a successful career in the conference sector
