As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Graduate Cost Manager to be based at our London office. - A major flagship scheme with national presence.
- Projects within the commercial, education, and defence sectors amongst others. Your core duties will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of Cost Estimates, cost plans and tender documents.
- Provision of accurate arithmetical checks of calculations
- Working on own projects as appropriate
- Preparation of interim valuations of construction
- Providing general support in the cost management and financial reporting of construction projects
- Attending meetings to provide QS input, review project progress and present project data as appropriate
- General administration assistance in connection with Quantity Surveying duties.
You will be committed to enhancing our positive working culture, by having a compassionate attitude and always treating others with respect. In order to be considered for this role, you must have: - Achieved a degree of 2:1 or above in Cost Management/Quantity Surveying or a related subject
- A professional attitude, providing you with the ability to effectively liaise with clients
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A strong interest and desire to work within the Construction industry . In order to stand out from the crowd, it is desirable for you to have:
- An interest in looking to work towards achieving chartership
- The ability to work effectively in a team to achieve a common goal
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
