Full Job Description

You will be expected to work alongside more senior engineers on all stages of the design of buildings and other projects. This will include initial scheme design of options, design development and coordination with other members of the design teams, detailed design calculations, assisting in the preparation of working drawings and details together with site inspections. You will be expected to undertake computer analyses for more complex solutions.

You will work as part of our team with full supervision and training as necessary and can expect greater responsibilities and swift career progression with experience. Webb Yates Engineers provides leadership and support for junior engineers to gain sufficient experience and training in working towards their professional status with relevant institution for their job role (ICE, IStructE, IMechE for example).

The applicants should have an enthusiasm for sustainability, the built environment and Architecture and should be keen to develop professionally in these fields. The successful candidates, who will join our practice August to October 2025, will have a sound understanding of engineering principles and be expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 honours BEng degree.
