Full Job Description

Our Finance Graduate Scheme offers several 9-12-month rotations over 3-year period, offering exposure to key areas of our Finance function, including:

  • Financial Reporting: You will support with the maintenance of the General Ledger and will support daily/monthly reconciliations. This team assist with supplier payments, treasury transactions, and audit preparation whilst supporting with the preparation of Interim and Annual Reports
  • Treasury: You will assist in cash investments and the Treasury Management System upgrade. Part of your role will be providing support for balance sheet forecasting and liquidity analysis as well as collaborating with Retail Product teams on hedging strategies.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: You will prepare management information (MI) and variance analysis for budget holders, supporting budgeting and forecasting, including cost analysis for projects and business operations.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory returns and analyse data for accuracy and support system changes for new reporting requirements.
  • During the rotation, you'll gain valuable experience in different facets of finance, working closely with skilled professionals to build your technical knowledge and understanding of the financial services sector. Qualifications & Development As part of your ongoing development, we will fund and support you with a relevant professional qualification in Finance / Accounting during your Graduate Scheme: -
  • ACCA - Chartered Certified Accountant
  • CIMA - Chartered Management Accountant
  • Relevant Treasury Qualification
  • This support includes covering exam fees, study materials, and providing study leave to help you achieve your qualification and advance your career. The options available to you will be discussed at interview / offer stage. What happens after the Scheme ends? You will be permanently placed into a specific area of Finance that aligns with your strengths, career interests and the needs of the Society. This placement will provide you with a focused pathway to develop deeper expertise in your chosen field!
