Full Job Description

Working for the Sustainable Portfolio Manager (Investment team), the Junior Investment Analyst will support the investment team in a wide range of responsibilities, including analysing potential investment opportunities, and producing market commentaries. This is a developmental role which will place you in a good position to build a career in Financial Services.,

  • Assist in investment research and analysis, assisting with construction and implementation of the direct investment models.

  • Assist the Investment Risk Manager with risk and performance analysis of investment solutions, production of factsheets and quarterly reporting and help generate papers for Investment Risk Committee meetings.

  • Assist in generation of asset allocation data pack and contribute to the analysis.

  • Produce regular presentations and updates to PMs and financial advisers.

  • Maintain investment proposition presentation deck.

  • Understand the investment case behind each position and the target market for each investment product and service.

  • Support the wider investment team and complete portfolio admin including sourcing and compiling portfolio data and commentary for factsheets and reporting, due diligence documents, third parties and ad hoc queries.

  • Support the Model Portfolio Manager in implementation of model portfolios and with model portfolio rebalances and trading process. Work with other teams to ensure fund data is presented correctly on internal and external platforms.

  • Assist in development and reporting of sustainability related disclosures.

  • Contribute to new business initiatives and corporate developments, including contributing to marketing content as required.

  • Support the team in expanding the funds under management with by promoting Atomos investment services to potential introducers and clients.

  • This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about finance and investments and are looking to kick-start their career in the financial services industry. We have an agile team where you will get good exposure as our firm size enables you to make a difference, although with this comes greater emphasis on self-drive and self-learning.,
  • A STEM degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Must have strong mathematics (top GCSE grade minimum, preferably A-Level).

  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V:Lookups).

  • Started learning either SQL or Python - analytics is core to this role.

  • An interest in ESG & sustainable investing.

  • Passionate about investing with an interest in the world and finance

  • Accuracy, organisation, and pride in the work is essential.

  • A self-starter with a good work ethic, who is ambitious to learn.

  • Fast learner comfortable approaching colleagues and self-research online. You are not someone who waits for learning to be offered.

  • IMC or CFA Level 1 (or working towards) would be nice.
