Graduate Junior Delivery Analyst, Electricity Transmission Strategic Infrastructure

Strategic Infrastructure is a part of National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) and is responsible for delivering 17 major new projects to connect more clean, low-carbon power to the transmission network in England and Wales. These projects, delivered under the regulator's Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) framework, play a vital part in achieving the UK Government's ambition of connecting 50GW of offshore wind by 2030. The Delivery Strategy team are responsible for ensuring the infrastructure projects that are part of the Great Grid Upgrade, can be delivered successfully. We are delivering these projects alongside routine network maintenance and upgrades, large volumes of customers who wish to connect renewable energy and, in a world where other countries are also decarbonising. We must ensure we are delivering the right scope, at the right time and ensuring we can buy all of the equipment to deliver successfully. Your role as a Graduate Delivery Strategy Lead will be helping us answer key questions such as:

• What equipment do we need to deliver the Great Grid Upgrade, where are the supply chain constraints and what are our opportunities to maximise value for end consumers?
• How do we optimise the delivery of Strategic Infrastructure Projects alongside connecting our customers and undertaking network maintenance?
• How can we deliver these projects differently to reduce the amount of time we need to take the network out of service, whilst keeping safety a priority?
• You will align with internal teams across National Grid, collecting information, analysing and drawing insights. You will document your findings in an Investment Case, clearly detailing a recommended delivery strategy for each project., As you'll be joining our 18-month graduate programme, you'll have a tailored development pathway to support you as you develop a wide range of leadership, business, and technical skills. You'll attend in-person and virtual development sessions throughout your programme to equip you with the essential skills required, as you begin your career at National Grid.   You'll need to achieve a minimum 2:2 in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math's (STEM) related discipline. It doesn't matter when you graduated or if you are currently working towards your qualification. We just need you to be eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.
You'll need flexibility to travel within role and throughout your rotations as required.
