Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students who will be based in the UK for the duration of the role to apply for; if your application is successful, we will arrange your Jobs4Students registration before you start work.
The School of Teacher Education and Professional Development wishes to hire, on a short term basis, two students to contact former teacher training graduates to check on their current employment situation. The work includes updating a spreadsheet, contacting graduates by email, phone and text to ask them a few questions. A script will be supplied, along with a mobile phone. The results will be recorded on a spreadsheet.
The work will take around three weeks and will be based on around 2 hours a day, around 5 to 7pm when people are most likely to be at home. During these two hours, the successful applicants will prepare and send texts/emails to some graduates and call others.
Successful applicants will work remotely but will be required to go to campus to collect and return the mobile phone at the start and end of the role.

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students.
All applicants must have -

  • Excellent communication skills, especially on the phone

  • Able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Sufficiently confident to call former students but also sensitive to their needs during a phone call

  • A laptop which can operate Microsoft Outlook and Excel

  • Able to call to the campus to pick up and drop off equipment at the start and end of the project

  • Available to work Monday to Friday 17:00-19:00 each day
