What you'll be doing: A colleague at this level will take responsibility for delivering specific tasks, goals, and objectives. As part of the graduates development they will initially work under direction with day-to-day support from colleagues and mentors. They are expected to work proactively and deliver defined tasks to an industry standard. They will manage their own tasks within the context of a project or company objective In operations they will initially assist in managing small or medium projects on site before progressing to manage projects of increasing size / complexity independently.
- Assisting the Project Team across all areas of Project Management from development of the business case, through implementation to final Project Close out.
- Assisting in ensuring safe, successful execution and completion of a number of projects meeting defined timescales, quality standards and commercial objectives.
- Managing relationship's internal and external. About Nuclear: Projects in the Nuclear sector cover a wide variety of scope from upgrading electrical distribution, bridge construction or pumping systems up to the construction of brand new facilities that are of significant national importance. - Contribute to the overall team objectives, understand how to be part of a team and regularly cooperate with team members.
- Ability to take control of situations within one's sphere of influence and assume responsibility - organising and guiding where necessary.
- Assist the project team in creating a plan for a familiar project or process and understand what resources are required. Help bring resources together and ensure they are efficiently deployed using diverse skills and methods to deliver results while understanding the points of view of others.
- Make an objective and structured case with pros and cons and understand the need to give and take.
- Can respond well within tested frameworks of development to identify own needs and use personal experience to build own skills.
- Be geographically mobile - our projects and supply chain partners are UK wide and can be in rural and remote locations. You will need to be able to commit to travelling independently to sites and able to stay away from home for short and longer periods.
Project Management or Engineering Degree - Ability to travel or drive to remote site locations if needed.
- Ideally some exposure to a construction/engineering environment. You will need the ability to:
