Full Job Description

We're looking for a Graduate Site Engineer to join our Construction team based in Crawley, West Sussex., As a Graduate Site Engineer, you'll be working within the site team, supporting them in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality. Your day to day will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of 'as-built drawings', maintaining the drawing register.
  • Assisting in establishing and managing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly and reviewing against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
  • Assisting in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc.
  • Responsible for setting out works controls to allow works to be constructed within allowable tolerances. Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. Ensure the workforce understand setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out.

  • What are we looking for? We're looking for people due to graduate in 2025, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. The role of Graduate Site Engineer is great for you if:
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must hold Full UK Drivers Licence.
