Full Job Description

We are looking for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Graduate Studies Administrator to join the Graduate Studies team in the Academic Office in the Social Sciences Divisional Office.
You will be responsible for the administration of on-course processes relating to students on taught postgraduate courses and doctoral programmes for a number of departments. You will be the first point of contact for enquiries from students and members of administrative and academic staff, providing expert advice on University regulations and processes relating to graduate study.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills, with evidence of high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly. You will also have a good standard of numeracy and be confident in using standard IT applications, and able to learn new IT systems quickly. You will develop a comprehensive knowledge of the University's regulations and procedures, requiring the ability to learn and understand processes and written material rapidly, and to apply the regulations intelligently and the procedures with discretion. Experience of student administration would be an advantage. Full training on the student records software will be provided.

Grade 05S: £30,259- £35,466 per annum (inclusive of Oxford University weighting), What we offer
