Full Job Description

We are looking for a Graduate Transport Planner for our Infrastructure team to be based in Ashford, joining our 2025 Graduate Programme.

As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your transport planning expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment.

You will join an experienced and supportive team based in Ashford, working on a variety of exciting transport infrastructure and planning projects. The team is heavily involved in development planning, specifically supporting planning applications by demonstrating how residential and commercial developments can be accessed using all modes of transport. This is achieved through transport assessments, traffic impact assessments, environmental impact assessments, and travel plans. You will gain early client exposure and benefit from exceptional professional development in an innovative and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.

No two days are the same in this role. You will be involved in a range of projects, from junction modelling and assessing traffic impacts to promoting active travel or developing transport strategies for new towns.

Your responsibilities will include contributing to a variety of projects by preparing transport assessments, reviewing and building transport models using specialist software, analysing transport impacts of new developments, conducting research and data collection, liaising with external suppliers, and preparing reports, presentations, bids, and proposals. You will also attend meetings and workshops with clients and colleagues from other disciplines.
