We have a supportive team of 9 Vets (5 full time, 4 part time), 8 RVNs and 2 SVNs. Within the team we have a Small Animal Surgery certificate holder. We are a well-established and friendly team with low staff turnover. We still have our 2016 new graduate and 2020 new graduate employed as Vets here. Our Clinical Director also was a new graduate at our practice. We have regular social events. Practice facilities include laparoscopic equipment, rhinoscopy and bronchoscopy, Tonopen, x-ray, ultrasound available at both sites and In house lab machines at both sites. Step into a supportive start 38 hours per week over a 4 day working week 8:30am - 6:30pm. You will be part of our Saturday rota working 1:4 Saturdays 8:30am - 4:30pm. We have a well-established and experienced team, who have a lot of experience supporting new graduates. We would aim to have our new graduate shadowing ops and consults initially to build confidence, then have longer appointment times. We have an Ops points system to ensure when ready to operate on their own they are not overwhelmed and are continuously reviewing this. Very minimal sole charge (only on a Saturday) but would not expect this until a minimum of 6 months post-graduation, which again can be reviewed. You will be mainly based at our Boston Spa practice but will also be required to work at our Garforth site.
