Full Job Description

Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford
Applications are invited for a Grants Officer to work within the Grants Team at the Nuffield Department of Primary Health Care Sciences.
The successful applicant will hold a key role in the administrative structure of the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, working within the large and busy grants function.
Responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of awards within research groups, covering both pre-award and post award functions. You will be a key contact for academics and researchers, working closely with your research groups as well as working with the department's Finance and HR teams and the central Research Services and Research Accounts teams. You will provide support on costings for internal and external grant funding applications, coordinate the setup of awards, including dealing with research contracts, monitor budgets and spend on awarded projects, providing financial advice as required to the Principal Investigator, completing financial reporting as well as managing post-award processes in accordance with sponsor and University requirements.
This is a busy and varied role, requiring the ability to manage a large number of projects concurrently, and would suit a self-directed individual with good organisational and planning skills who enjoys working proactively and as part of a team. You will be expected to deal confidently with a variety of stakeholders and be able to build effective working relationships across the department and University.
