Full Job Description

Responsible for maintaining gardens, glasshouses, and grounds, including lawn mowing, weeding, pruning, hedge cutting and leaf collecting.
Ensure all areas are kept to a high standard, providing a clean and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Create and maintain planted containers for Hartpury events, including the student summer ball, sporting fixtures and equine events.
Keep all machinery and equipment clean and in working order.
Adhere to Health and Safety procedures for safe campus operations.
Follow department procedures to promote effective teamwork.

Adaptable with strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team without constant supervision.
Good knowledge of trees, shrubs, bedding plants, and their maintenance.
Proficient in operating various machinery and driving tractors with PTO-driven implements.
Previous grounds care experience is essential; industry-back qualifications are desirable.
Additional landscape qualifications (e.g., ride-on mowers, brush cutters, PA1 & PA6) are advantageous.
Hold a valid UK driving license.
