Full Job Description

As a Group Financial Accountant you will have strong organisational and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders across various levels. You will be an experienced accountant, able to produce monthly reporting for multiple entities to deadlines. You will have good organisation, communication and Excel skills, and will be a self-motivated person who is able to work as part of a busy team. You will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reports, including group statutory financial statements, group VAT returns and statutory reporting to companies house. Key responsibilities include:

  • The preparation of the annual Group and subsidiary statutory accounts and co-ordination of the Annual Audit for the Group including liaising with the external Auditors.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns with thorough review and advising on VAT matters
  • Acting as a finance business partner for defined areas, providing financial advice, analysis, and support for budget setting.
  • Working alongside the Group Finance director, supporting them with preparation of annual budgets , cashflow projections and monthly management accounts across the Group.

    An opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and experienced Group Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team within the Autism Initiatives Group. This pivotal role will lead our efforts in managing and overseeing the financial reporting and compliance processes of the organisation and its subsidiaries., To be considered for this role you must have previous demonstrable experience of working in a Finance role at a similar level. You will have also obtained a recognised accounting qualification through either the ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, or be looking to complete your studies within the next twelve months.
