High profile Interim Financial Controller opportunity now available for a fast-paced, multi-faceted international business based in Bristol. Working as part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring strong financial governance across the Group and ensuring that the department drives best in class financial management and control process within an appropriate organisation design. As a subject matter expert in technical accounting and reporting, you will have demonstrable UK GAAP and IFRS experience, ideally gained within a large matrix environment., We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and entrepreneurial Group Financial Controller. In this role, you'll be the right-hand person to the Group CFO and will be a key member of the Global Finance Team. Accountable for a wide variety of diverse and complex finance & accounting operations, across multiple geographies, including: integration of acquisitions; the annual audit, technical ownership of GAAP and tax compliance and input into the design and building of processes and systems, global treasury and cash management, this is an ideal opportunity for an upper quartile group reporting profile.,

  • Ensuring that half year and full year financial accounts providing complete confidence to investors that the reported financial position is fully accurate

  • Leading the group in balance sheet and cash flow management through the provision of appropriate reporting and behavioural standards

  • Identifying opportunities for profit and balance sheet enhancement

  • Re-engineering key reporting practices ensuring they are fit for future purpose

  • Leading the external audit process

  • Developing strong relationships with the global finance team and support them in maintaining strong controls, accurate reporting and commercial finance/working capital management

  • Preparing Group income statements, balance sheets and cash flows for internal use, submission to the PE Investor and banks, including the impact of acquisitions, as appropriate

  • Driving significant improvements in the financial controls across the business

  • Managing all external stakeholder relationships with internal and external auditors, investors and bank

    As a highly experienced and charismatic ACA/ACCA qualified with experience of working for a large matrix organisation, you will be a strong technical accountant, with a proven ability to oversee the production of accurate monthly, half year and full year management and financial accounts. You will have well-developed communication skills with a track record of successful team leadership of 10+ FTE and change management at a senior level across an multi-site setting.
