Group Indirect Tax Accountant

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Group Indirect Tax Accountant on a 12-month contract.

As an Indirect Tax Accountant, you will join a small specialist Tax team that sits within the wider finance function and supports in ensuring indirect tax compliance for our international business is done right.

With a keen eye for detail, you will ensure that all Indirect tax filing requirements are accurate and on-time ensuring you protect Games Workshop by minimising tax charges and penalties.

Collaborating across Finance and other relevant departments you will take a methodical approach whilst dealing with the preparation of US, Canada, EMEA, and ASPAC indirect tax returns, always ensuring that information flows seamlessly.

Being comfortable communicating effectively with staff across all levels of the business you will assist the accounting team with related bookkeeping entries and any third-party professionals who assist with submissions of VAT returns. With excellent organisational skills and a can-do attitude, you will ensure all process notes and process maps are kept up to date and stored in the correct environment. Possessing the ability to work independently and as part of a team you will take responsibility for email triage of the main Tax email inbox resolving Indirect issues as they arise or escalating to the Group Indirect Tax Manager.

You will demonstrate a strong commitment to consistency, ensuring that all tasks are completed with the highest level of accuracy while remaining inquisitive to support the evolution of processes and automation of reports.

The role would suit someone who has previously worked in Indirect taxes in practice or in-house or in a wider accounts department who has filed tax returns. Ideally, you will be competent in accounting principles, advising finance teams on VAT journal entries as well as completing VAT control account reconciliations.
