Full Job Description

The FX, Derivatives & Metals Operations Team in Europe are the first line support for allocation, fixings, confirmation, settlements & reconciliation. This role is fast paced and high risk so accuracy, efficiency and control are key to ensure risk mitigation. This position is to oversee and lead the Operations team to deliver effective support for both Sales & Trading and our client base. They will actively lead three direct reports that are Team Managers for each area. This role will work to increase communication and strategic partnerships with clients and business areas, working to enhance STP and automation as well as develop and retain our top talent.,

  • Develop a solid understanding of the FX, Derivatives & Metals Operational Processes, Risk and Requirements
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and internal business partners including Global Operational Partners, Sales, Trading, Investment Banking, Credit, Legal, Compliance
  • Act as the central point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders on issues and understand the role of various stakeholders involved
  • Working with the Sales & Trading to, track and prioritize high value relationships
  • Proactively reduce risk and client touch where possible
  • Assist with the development and delivery of projects relating to all aspects of trade lifecycle across the multiple asset classes
  • Provide updates to senior management on critical projects, initiatives and all items impacting the team
  • Escalate and manage issues proactively
  • Produce reports, metrics and status updates as required
  • Assist with developing and enhancing procedures, policies and to streamline current process and promote consistency and transparency
  • Participate and represent the team in strategic projects as required
  • Be a reliable source of reference to internal business partners

  • Ability to translate client requirements back to TD and influence prioritisation
  • Capital markets cross asset class experience
  • Broad market knowledge and ability to act as a client advisor
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Irish/UK regulations and anti-money laundering rules & requirements such as the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing, Criminal Justice Act (Ireland)
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of MIFiD/MIFiD II
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the operating environment, business process and procedures, the transaction lifecycle, as well as the businesses supported (e.g. Fixed Income, Equities, Global Counterparty Credit)
