Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Group Procurement team at Admiral. This business support function oversees the governance and controls of our supply chain, ensuring we get the necessary goods and services to support our customers, maximize value, and comply with all regulations and legal requirements. The team currently consists of 14 staff members, including this role, and is structured to more effectively serve and support our customers. Our team offers a diverse range of experience and talent, with a focus on actively sharing knowledge. We are passionate about our work and strive for excellence. Communication, collaboration, and teamwork are integral to our daily operations. Located in Group Procurement at Ty Admiral, Cardiff, and accountable to a manager within the procurement team, the chosen candidate will support the Group Procurement department with daily procurement administration and risk management tasks. Main Duties:Â

  • Providing support on the administration of sourcing activities, supplier management and supply chain risk management.
  • Managing the end-to-end Supplier due diligence process.
  • Supporting Admiral Group entities with general queries.
  • Monitoring progress on various tasks within the team and reporting on status.
  • Managing the Group Procurement Mailbox and responding to general day-to-day queries received from the wider business.
  • Providing general support and completing ad-hoc tasks as required by Procurement Managers.
  • Supporting with updating Admiral’s Procurement management system (Atamis).
  • Arrange and attend meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Process and record new supplier set up within Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Coordinating and recording Atamis training sessions and attendees.
  • Assist where required in updating procedure guides/processes.
  • Taking and recording meeting minutes
  • Organising fun for the team.

    Self-motivated and able to work remotely when required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and influence both internal and external stakeholders. This includes building close relationships with Infosec, Data Protection and Financial Crime.
  • Strong IT literacy and confident using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Dynamics).
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and therefore be able to prioritise and problem solve workload effectively.
  • Flexible and willing to take on varied tasks and learn new skills quickly
  • Great organisational skills and able to handle and respond to all correspondence.
  • Confident and professional attitude to deal with senior management, third parties, contract owners and group functions (via email and Teams calls).
  • An ability to multi-task and support on several high-level initiatives at once.
  • High attention to detail and comfortable analysing data.

    We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
