You have full global reach, 17 countries with a total of $1bn of annual spend. This business does not restrict - Procurement has all addressable spend under management. You will have the software you need to do your work effectively - Chubb has world class market intelligence and is implementing best-in-class strategic sourcing software. Your negotiations will be insight lead, with best-in-class category and industry market intelligence provided by a Procurement Analyst. What will I be doing as Procurement Specialist?
- You will be supported by a Procurement Analyst to determine the global business IT needs and be provided with external market intelligence and insights as a strong foundation for your negotiations with IT suppliers.
- Set up and lead cross-functional global teams in IT tendering exercises, collaborating with key stakeholders including local procurement and IT functions.
- Undertake IT global tendering exercises for up to 17 countries and support local exercises that deliver reduced cost (total cost of ownership), enhanced product/service quality, reduction in time to market, a rationalised supply base, strong supply partnerships and reduced risk.
- Negotiate supply contracts with support from Group Legal in addition to negotiating supplier service level agreements with KPI's determined by your internal customers' requirements.
- Work with the supply partners to achieve continuous improvement for both the supplier and Chubb
- Form strong, productive supplier relationships ensuring Chubb is the customer of choice for innovation and supply from the supply base
Experience in a procurement specialist / category manager / senior buyer role managing and negotiating IT categories including hardware, software, IT Services and ADM - Experience of working in a procurement function in a large, global organisation
- The ability to negotiate with varying degrees of leverage, achieving commercial value whilst ensuring a sustainable result and strong supplier partnership
- MCIPS Qualification is desirable
- A full driving licence
- The ability to travel both in the UK and abroad
