Full Job Description

As Senior Group Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and developing Group financial systems so that they continue to operate effectively and are well controlled, supported and developed to meet current and future requirements.,

  • Manage and provide technical expertise for the maintenance of the Group reporting system (Tagetik), including user access rights, management of meta data, and routine month-end/budget tasks to ensure that the system continues to be fit for purpose and aligned with future Group statutory reporting and accounting requirements

  • Ensure alignment of Group reporting system data structures and standards with other finance ERPs, resolving any inconsistencies

  • Analyse Tagetik issues raised by users and use either own expertise or liaise with Group IT/external consultants to ensure quick resolution

  • Provide technical support to the Group Accounting and Consolidation Manager, and group reporting team

  • Provide technical expertise for the on-going development and continuous improvement of the Group reporting system

  • Write, develop and maintain system output reports for routine Finance reporting processes ensuring outputs are relevant, accurate and meet stakeholder needs

  • Provide expert advice, guidance and training to Tagetik users to ensure full and accurate use of the system

  • Represent Finance on key systems projects (as appropriate) to ensure that the system meets the current and future needs, taking the lead in any implementation or development project

  • Prepare detailed bespoke reports and analyses from the Group reporting system to meet specific requirements identified by the Chief Executive, Group Finance Director, Director of Accounting and Control, the FP&A teams, and/or Divisional Finance/Commercial Directors so that informed decisions can be made

  • Approve/reject/escalate requests for new or changes to existing reports as part of the Finance Reporting Governance Group

  • Support Global Process Leads and Product Owners by acting as a Data Steward

    Essential:

  • Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

  • Previous technical and functional experience of developing and maintaining an EPM tool

  • Technical background with hands-on experience of Tagetik, SAP BPC or SAP FC, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), OneStream, Cognos TM1 or similar tools

  • Strong knowledge of application creation, dimensions properties, designing data forms, workflow, report creation, smart view, systems integration

  • Comfortable maintaining the chart of accounts, account mapping and change management

  • Experience in a group accounting function


  • Desirable:
  • Working knowledge of FRS 102
