Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Agent, Works to a consistent process and sells Groups, Meetings & Events according to the agreed revenue strategy and processes What you will be doing as Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Agent

  • To work as part of an external hotel shared services team, an extension of the hotel M&E teams
  • To provide high level service and processes for customers with Groups, Meetings & Events enquiries for all hotels across the estate within both Malmaison & Hotel du Vin
  • To have a strong working knowledge of hotel reservations and group quoting processes, to maximise conversion and revenue performance
  • To engage with customers to gain crucial information is gathered to maximise the enquiry handling experience and maximise conversion opportunities
  • To engage with the Revenue Management Team, to ensure group enquiries are negotiated in line with customer budgets and our business needs
  • To communicate effectively with the hotel teams, understanding their business needs, local product knowledge and the dynamics of the space within each of the hotels
  • To handle all enquiries to a high level including telephone calls, RFPs via third party sites, direct emails and leads from brand.com
  • Adhering to our brand call handling guidelines and following up on all leads in a timely manner
  • KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Finance:
  • To ensure deposit and payments for events and groups are secured and credit checks have been completed for customers requesting credit terms
  • To maximise upselling opportunities, to drive increased F&B sales from all M&E bookings
  • Service & Product:
  • To maximise upselling opportunities, to drive increased F&B sales from all M&E bookings
  • Inbound calls for group bedrooms, meetings and events across the estate
  • Respond to all e-mail enquiries
  • Maximising conversion of enquiries, liaising with Central Sales and Hotel teams as required
  • Strategic price quotation according to the revenue strategy
  • Contracting Process and Follow Up/Chase of outstanding enquiries
  • Proactive outbound enquiries
  • Handover to Hotel/Central Admin Process
  • Feedback on lost/cancelled business to Brand
  • Cross-selling of brands to maximise conversion opportunities
  • Adherence to QDOS Mystery call standards in all customer communications
  • Liaison with Sales Team to implement sales initiatives
  • Input towards developing and growing sales
  • Upselling of additional products such as private dining, meeting space etc. to maximise sales revenue, To adhere to all the policies and procedures within our staff handbook PERFECT10N
  • To attend meetings and training as required, to include travel away from home and overnight stays as necessary
  • To perform all duties in a timely, professional and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies
  • To undertake any reasonable requests made of you by the company, including flexibility in hours, location and responsibilities
  • Project a professional image, reflective of our brands. Act as an ambassador to promote both Malmaison & Hotel du Vin as market leaders, growing our recognition and reputation
